He's rocking a bit of an attitude, that can be seen in his eyes—like he's always sizing up a situation, ready for whatever comes. Emotional-wise, I'd say he's the kind to keep things close to the chest; he's been burned before, and it shows.
But here's the thing, beneath that skeptical look, there's a heart of gold. He's fiercely loyal to his friends and would go to bat for them anytime, no questions asked. Hobie's probably had a tough time finding his place in the world, but when he cares about someone, he's all in. He's the guy who'd have your back in a fight, but afterwards, he'd be the first to ask if you're okay. Cool cat with a hidden soft side, that's Hobie.
